Since its founding in 1996, Tebtebba has worked towards
enhancing the capacities of indigenous peoples and making their
situations, worldviews and perspectives more visible and part of
contemporary development discourse.
Most of the papers in this book emerged from the International
Expert Group Meeting on Indigenous Peoples’ Development
with Culture and Identity organized by the UN Permanent Forum
on Indigenous Issues, in New York on January 2010.
